In Ithaca, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across New York vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (607) 272-7155. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is ithacahifi.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 130 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto electrical shop in Ithaca and suggests consistent service.
Ithaca is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Ithaca follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I needed front speakers for my Atlas Cross. The installation was quick and thorough. Robert is a highly skilled and competent installer and repair tech. Part of my conversations with him involved electrical problems I had with my Audi. My backup camera and push buttom start did not work. He researched and tested my car for many days. His OBD diagnostic tool gave him codes pointing to defective parking sensors and defective passenger door handles. He would not quit until he found and fixed all my issues and returned my Audi to me working better than it had in more than 2 years. This tech is the one you must go to if you have quirky electrical problems your regular mechanics cannot diagnose. Thank you Robert and HiWay HiFi.

I drove 2.5 hours to have these guys install a Thinkware U3000 hardwired dash cam. HIWay was able to work me in to their schedule within days. It was well worth the trip. I dropped off my car planning to be in town all day. Installation was completed in less than 2 hours. Cody installed my dash cam in just the right spot with no sign of visible wiring. System was explained by Cody easy enough that I have the dash cam up and running and isolating incidents the next morning. Best of all...I will call if I need help with any of the fancy functions. Thank you for your expert service, Cody.

I have to say that these guys are masters of their trade. Chase is not only an artist but engineer master in his knowledge and skills in fabrication and design along with his skilled hand hat tinting, can’t be beat. And Lee and his experience in home audio is a testament to his passion and dedication to that field . His knowledge in home audio with his hard working team is on another level. They were with me every step of the way in my audio journey in chasing perfect sound reproduction. Now I’m not adding any gas to this, they are hands down the greatest and they authentically care for their customers and clients.

Chase did a phenomenal job on the tint! Attention to detail and pride in his work. The shop is super nice, with some homey feeling places to lounge as you wait. It did take a little longer than expected but happy with the results and extra care taken. Thank you and would love to work together on other things in the future!

I would like to say thank you to Chase and the team for giving my vehicle an absolutely amazing stereo system. The knowledge and expertise is great.
